WDYDWYD?!

WDYDWYD?!

This website was super interesting because it was pretty much like a free expression website, where people could come and freely express how they felt!  All the pictures are pretty interesting because they are all full of color and definition.  When I was looking at WDYDWYD I thought it was similar to Tumblr where people can come a post pictures that appeal to them.

This picture is from Tumblr and is very similar to pictures that I have seen on WDYDWYD!

When Writing into the Day about the website I noticed that I called the pictures "random pictures" which is interesting because when looking at the website again and understanding the title most of the pictures have a purpose to them!  I also said in my day book that if I was making a WDYDWYD post my picture would say "because I'm me!"

  2. I can totally see how you connected tumblr and WDYDWYD. When we were looking at the pictures in class I kept thinking that they would be pictures I would see on tumblr!

  3. I think a lot of the thing we look at in class remind me of tumblr. I like that you said if you had a picture it would say "because I'm me"…I was thinking mine would be things like "because I can", and "because I felt like it" hahaha

  4. Kedric, I notice that you went back to the thinking you did in your daybook and complicated it, by wondering if the photos are actually random, and you also expanding the thinking by connecting to tumblr.

  5. Hey Kedric! As I scrolled through your blog, this post drew me in because of it's colorful photo. I liked this website too; it makes you take a second to question the motives behind why you do what you do. I think it would be cool to go out and take your own WDYDWYD picture. It would add a lot to your post! :)

  6. For some reason, the picture isn't working when looking at this post. I too found the website similar to Tumblr. I really enjoy sharing images, and finding creative posts on Tumblr much like the ones on this website. You questioned the idea that "random pictures" were not in fact random - and I found that very interesting. I feel like some images can be random, but our perception on those images alter it. Think about this "As soon as you see something, you already start to intellectualize it. As soon as you intellectualize something, it is no longer what you saw." It makes me wonder if maybe some of those images are random, and you found a purpose within them that you could empathize or relate with? Just a thought.
